Character Profile: Mothy

Before I start posting children’s stories about my stuffed animals, I need to post character profiles so it’ll be easier to match names and faces.

Today, I’m going to be introducing my newest stuffed animal, Mothy! She is the Folkmanis Venezuelan Poodle Moth.

Full name: Queen Maude Isolde Titania Elys von Silkmantle

Pronunciation: Mod Ee-zuld Tie-tay-nee-a El-lis von Silk-man-tel

Note - in this case, “Isolde” follows the French pronunciation, not the English

Job: official guardian of my wardrobe

Date of birth: November 26, 2025

Nicknames: Mothy, Mothy Moth, Poodle Butt, Fluffy Butt, Bug Mouse, Butterfly Spider, and 蟲 蟲 (means “bug bug” in Chinese)

Personality: aloof, regal, and kind of sassy but is very soft on the inside and loves it when I call her silly names, especially 蟲 蟲. She secretly loves “the Mothy dance.”

Accessory: a fake pearl necklace (pack of craft beads from Walmart) with white beads that say “Not a Pest” in gold letters because she is precious, she is not a pest!
